Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our Parents & Citizens Association, or P&C for short, is a group of parents, carers and other members of the school community who volunteer their time and skills to give back to the school and it’s students.
The P&C is made up of an executive of up to five members, and general volunteers. The P&C fulfils a number of different roles within the school community. First and foremost, we act as the representative body for the broader school community of parents & carers. We currently meet twice a term as a group alongside members of the school executive to discuss what’s happening at the school, offer our feedback, and to bring issues to the attention of the school on behalf of the community.
The second major role for P&C throughout the school year is running our fundraising events. These events include Mother’s & Father’s Day stalls, Secondhand Uniform sales and the annual Easter Raffle. Funds raised throughout the year go towards a variety of school improvements, and these ideas are discussed throughout the year at P&C meetings.
Join our P&C
Currently, the main ways to get involved with P&C are by attending meetings, volunteering at events, or offering feedback via our email list and WhatsApp group. We can be contacted during school terms at greenwaypandc@gmail.com, and details of meetings can be found on the school Facebook page.
